The boiler design shall be of the welded steel horizontal firetube boiler type. Boiler(s) shall be completely fabricated and assembled on location or at shop by the manufacturer. Each boiler shall be design, built, inspected, tested and stamped in accordance with Section IV of the ASME Code and its addenda in effect. The boiler manufacturer shall submit copies of (fireside) calculations in accordance with applicable ASME sections to the engineer. The rear of each boiler shall be of full wet-back constriction, including two rear tube sheets, requiring no refractory in rear chamber area, back of boiler passes. All firetubes shall be expanded, rolled and flared into tube sheets; welding of tubes into tube sheet will not be permitted. Boiler tubes shall be 2 ½" diameter O.D. and shall be __________________ gauge. a 20 inch access door with a poured refractory lining shall be provided in the rear reversing chamber. Boiler insulating jacket shall be smooth finished heat resisting enamel on a steel jacket over 2 inch thick non-settling, moisture-proof fiber grass.
